Individual Trauma Therapy

45 - 60 minute sessions

I specialize in treating individuals dealing with complex trauma and PTSD. I recommend weekly individual trauma therapy for most survivors of complex trauma, because it is a healing experience to learn to regulate your nervous system, develop a sense of safety, and process trauma in bite-sized, digestible pieces. For the first few weeks, I highly encourage at least once a week sessions so that I can track your functioning between sessions and build your trust.

I have 7+ years of experience woking with religious/ spiritual abuse, cult recovery, childhood abuse/ neglect, betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse, racial trauma, and sexual abuse/ human trafficking. My patients describe me as a warm, attuned, collaborative, and proactive therapist who helps re-establish a sense of safety and a newfound sense of hope, connection, and control in their lives. When you are ready, I help you to revisit your past, not for the sake of simply triggering you or re-opening old wounds, but to actually process and heal from your traumatic experiences. Ultimately, I want to empower you to live in accordance to who you are and what you value outside of your trauma responses.

Intensive EMDR Therapy

1-, 2-, and 3-day EMDR intensives

EMDR intensives are for individuals looking to significantly decrease their trauma symptoms and process their trauma in a brief and powerful process.

I recommend intensives for those who are already in ongoing individual therapy and want to supplement their existing care with a trauma-informed approach. I also recommend EMDR intensives for those who find it exhausting to open up old wounds just to have to close them up every week and would rather do the work β€œall at once.” EMDR intensives work best for those who have some basic day-to-day stability in their life.

The intensive EMDR therapy process looks like first completing a 90 minute intake with me so I can get to know you and help identify your targets for trauma processing. Then, you can choose between 1-, 2-, or 3-day EMDR intensives (3 hours/ day) where I help process the most impactful traumas from your life and resource you with grounding. Finally, we will end with an additional 45 minute therapy session so I can help solidify your new connections and integrate the results of trauma processing into your life moving forward.

*Research demonstrates that virtual trauma therapy is just as effective as in-person. I use a HIPAA-compliant telehealth software for all virtual therapy sessions.
